The Coronavirus crisis has radically altered the world in which we live. It has laid bare the way in society is organised in the interest profit, rather than humanity. As Marx once said, capitalist production functions by “undermining the sources of all wealth: the soil and the worker” – as is starkly illustrated by this crisis.
It is important for socialists in this period to articulate a demand for a socialist society which puts need before profit and which consigns to the dustbin of history the conditions that gave rise this pandemic. Rebel will endeavour to give voice to radical perpectives from around the world.
